Acceptable Use

1. The principle

Someone taps a seal without knowing what is behind it. They cannot preview it, decline it, or unsubscribe from it. Everything below follows from that.

2. What a Wish must not contain

• Anything unlawful, or that promotes or assists an unlawful act.
• Any sexual content involving a minor. We report this to the authorities without notice and permanently close the account.
• Sexual or explicit content of any kind, given that a recipient cannot see it coming.
• Harassment, threats, intimidation, or content targeting someone who has asked to be left alone.
• Hatred or incitement against people for who they are.
• Graphic violence, or content designed to shock or distress.
• Content you do not have the right to use, including other people's photographs.
• Photographs, films or recordings of identifiable people who have not agreed to appear or to be recorded.
• Malware, phishing, or links intended to deceive the person opening it.

3. What the service must not be used for

• Reaching another person's Wish, account, order or address.
• Guessing link tokens or PINs, or working around the limits that slow guessing down.
• Automated scraping, bulk requests, or anything that degrades the service for others.
• Probing, scanning or testing our security without our written permission.
• Reselling the service, or using it to send marketing.

4. Security research

We welcome it, in good faith. Write to contact@tapawish.com before testing anything, do not access data that is not yours, and give us a reasonable chance to fix what you find before telling anyone else.

5. What we do about breaches

Depending on what happened we may disable a link, remove content, suspend or close an account, refuse a refund, and report the matter. Where we can, we tell you first and say why. For anything involving a child we act immediately and without notice.
